So I was out to sea for the longest time yet. 9 days. Long time. Lol. It was hell. We are going through a lot of inspections and drills. The first couple days weren't so bad. But the majority of it I was in a 6 on 6 off watch bill. Red bull was my very best friend. I got some really good pics though!
One of the drills was called 'tow ex' that's where we tow another ship. I got to go up and see it while I was on watch. This is a really dangerous drill.
The sunsets are amazing so I have a lot of pics of the sun meeting the water.
I got to shoot! My guns name is Layla. I did ok for my first time. I'm not good at the phraseology of it. Thats what I get to practice. I'm looking forward to more shoots.
We were floating around the Bahamas for most of the time. The water is a diff color blue then when in port. Sooo pretty.
I had to do some top side preservation. Thats just chipping paint and repainting. I told my supervisor that it was too pretty to work. Lol. I ended up painting regardless.
We could see land but we never stopped. I kept thinking it was only a couple miles to shore and that I should just jump. Lol.
